We are prisoners confined in the fetters of time
Our eyes have forgotten the light of the day
An idle faith devours our mind
And leaves no saving chance
The time consists of moments and decisions
Determining our fate and hastening the end
Of our journey
How often do we look back at the way
We have come
To understand what really happens?
How can we find out if we choose this way ourselves
Or somebody affects our choice?
What if we could stop
And keep each valuable moment
Before it disappears
Maybe we could see a thousand roads
and make a choice
Our hopes melt in our hearts
And fear burns our souls to ashes
But we believe and hope
While looking death in the eye
Time moves on but the things
Which will always trouble us still remain
The race for power and personal gain -
Such things will never change
But I feel soon the dawn will come
And the waves will shatter our chains
against the rocks
Our blind faith will flame
And we will be remembered for centuries
