Nightfall reveals a different world
A silent womb of solace
A state where all concern is secondary
The strain upon my mind releases for a moment
As I float towards the morning
And when darkness falls, I wake to bathe in it's grace
The scars upon my heart mending within this sombre embrace
I don't want to wake into another burdensome day
Sunlight offers me no delight
The little beauty left in my world
Only reveals itself in the veil of late summer's dusk
